5x7 Agfa Ansco
Attractively finished 5x7 with a sliding expansion bed
5x7 Agfa Ansco on a Gitzo R. No. 4 tripod head. Color photos on this page were made with a Nikon F, 55mm f/3/5 Micro-Nikkor-P.C, and Portra 400.
A German/American brand
This 5x7 camera was made in Binghampton, N.Y. in the 1930s by a company that had originated in upstate New York but was at that point owned by Agfa of Germany, hence the Agfa Ansco brand.
Unique design for a wood field camera
This camera has an integral telescoping rear bed. Not a removable extension bed like the Korona, Seneca, and Burke & James. The bed is shown half-extended in the photo above. The Agfa Ansco design is superior — it is a more solid and the extension bed is not at risk of being lost or misplaced.

5x7 Agfa Ansco. Not all Ansco cameras had the beautiful wood finish — my 5x7 back is from a plain gray-painted model.
